“Give Peace a Chance”
Synchronicity certainly has been working in my life lately. Today I was reading the Passion Meets Purpose blog (Kammie is one of my favorite bloggers, by the way..) and found out about the anniversary of John Lennon’s death.
Well, earlier I had that song “Yellow Submarine” in my head…
“… We all live in a yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine,
We all live in a yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine….”
I was thinking as I was humming this in my head that if only there were more fun songs like this in the world today…
This is what Kammie says about John Lennon and I agree:
“.. What I love most about Lennon’s message is that he understood that change happens one person at a time.”
Keep Singing!

Welcome to No Song Unsung!
Music has always been a part of my life. From a very young age I was playing the piano, the flute, clarinet, and saxophone. My parents were always playing music and singing karaoke, so I became familiar with all the genres of music.
As I grew up I came to realize how much music affects our thinking and our emotions. We identify with music when we’re happy, sad, or angry. Songs fill our soul and tell the stories of our lives. I believe that music can lift us up when we’re down! Another thing I believe is that music has the ability to unify the world. This may seem a bit idealistic and that’s fine by me because I consider myself an idealist. Anything is possible, I always say.
That’s one of the reasons why we’ve started this blog (and the website is coming soon!) We believe that there’s a new “trend” in music in that the different genres are starting to collaborate. We’re seeing rock being mixed with hip hop and alternative mixing with jazz. We believe these collaborations will open up the minds of people who have been focused on certain types of music.
Another reason we started this blog is that we believe that music needs to revolutionize into something with substance. Alot of music nowadays talks about the same thing over and over again. We need music that will challenge our beliefs and uplift us instead of bringing us down. We need music with meaning.
So, welcome to No Song Unsung! We each have a song in us…
Peace!
~Maria
