Exclusive Interview With Rob Cooke of WeeklySongCast.com

Written on September 1, 2008 – 12:26 pm | by NoSongUnsung |

Rob CookeLast night I had the pleasure of doing my first BlogTalkRadio segment and the guest was my good friend, Rob Cooke of WeeklySongCast.com and PowerBookStudio.com.  He’s also known as “The Boy at Heart”.  Rob and I have known each other for over a year and although Rob and I have never actually talked on the phone, we’ve exchanged numerous emails, comments via our blogs, and exchanged thoughts over at Twitter and Facebook.  Rob was so kind to produce the music for my virtual vision board video over at YouTube.

So it was pretty exciting to finally place a voice to his face ;)   In my interview with Rob we get to know more about his musical background, how he markets his music online, and his philosophies about life and creativity.  Click here to listen to the interview at BlogTalkRadio.

Rob is originally from the UK, but he recently moved to Thailand where he now lives with the love of his life.  Every week he posts a new song over at his blog, The Weekly Songcast, and shares the philosophy or the story behind the song.

For a limited time you can get Rob’s debut album for free which is due to release in October.  Get more details about this great offer!  I just downloaded the Weekly Songcast Volume 2 so I can listen to “Wealth Abundance Joy” everyday.  Looking forward to the release!

You can find The Boy at Heart online at:

  • MySpace
  • Facebook
  • Last.fm
  • Twitter
  • Again, here’s the link to listen to the interview.

Thank you very much for the support Maria,
I enjoyed sharing some of my insights on the show. It was also great to talk and good fun.

I just put up a new site specifically for Boy at Heart: http://www.boyatheart.com, which I will make as the main site for my own music. The Weekly Songcast will continue to keep me on my toes, so that I can keep the songwriting going.

Good luck with everything and keep in touch.
      Rob (B@H)

The interview with Rob was great! I am glad to hear someone is already doing what I am trying to do right now. I have been a musician for over 40 years but worked for a corporation for the last 22 years and recently made the leap to devote myself to music full time. It is my best gift and passion and I have put it in the background for way too long! Thanks Rob for some major inspiration…you reinforce my faith that I am on the right path. It IS so much more rewarding to do what you love….if it brings success, that’s the cherry on top. Music did that for me when I started playing at 14 years old…I couldn’t believe someone paid me to play…I would have done it for nothing…
